About Under The Radar Books
A home for readers who dig deeper.
The Story
Under The Radar Books started in 2021 with a simple frustration: too many book recommendations were driven by hype, algorithms, and bestseller momentum — and not enough by the question that actually matters to readers: is this book any good?
Five years and 395+ reviews later, UTRB has become a trusted voice for readers who want honest, thoughtful criticism — not sponsored enthusiasm. Every review on this site asks the same question: does the writing earn the space it takes up?
About Kassidi
I’m a book reviewer and the founder of Under The Radar Books. My work is rooted in critical reading and honest advocacy for books that deserve attention.
My background includes:
- 395+ published book reviews across literary fiction, thrillers, true crime, memoir, and nonfiction
- NetGalley Top Reviewer — pre-approved by Macmillan Audio and Harper Perennial
- Film festival screener — evaluating creative work across mediums
- Fable book club leader — running 8-9 active clubs and building engaged reader community
I believe the best books find the right readers — they just need someone willing to look past the noise. That’s what I’m here for.
