The Maid’s Secret by Nita Prose

    Book Summary.

THE MAIDS SECRET Nita Prose It’s that time of year to sit back relax and enjoy the fruits from your labor over the long hard winter. One of the ways I celebrate Spring and summer is by reading titles that are on the lighter side. THE MAID SECRET by Anita Prose is just that. In THE MAIDS SECRET we are again following Molly the maid. In this installment in the series Molly is getting the hotel prepared for a television crew to come through as there is an antique show due to arrive. Unbeknownst to Molly, the antique show called Hidden Treasures will end up changing her life forever. Molly and the series will never be the same again. Have you read the Molly the Maid series? Now is a great time.

    The Review.

I loved this installment and appreciated the change of course this novel provided. Molly is a charming character and I love to see her getting her due days in the sunshine. The series is one of my favorites and I recommend it to those who prefer a side of cozy with their mystery. • Movie Review: Presence (2024)

    Presence (2024)

    Synopsis.

A family becomes convinced they are not alone after moving into their new home in the suburbs.

    The Review.

Presence (2024) What is there to say about Presence that hasn’t already been said? It’s boring, it’s lost the plot, it was a waste of time. I don’t recommend it and completely understand now what all the low ratings were about. Presence stars Lucy Liu. I love Lucy, (please forgive my review). This, however, was a waste of her time as much as it was mine. She stars as a mother with some nefarious situation going on. Her marriage is in peril, and they decide to buy a house. As soon as they move in paranormal or abnormal things start occurring that lead us all to wonder…Is there a presence in the house? My husband asks me… “Was this free?” “How much did we pay for this?” I had only sad answers… “No.” “It costs $5.99, that’s good right?” It was my plan to watch a movie every Tuesday night and come back here on Wednesday and tell you about it. This was my first movie choice, and I chose it poorly. Don’t make the same mistake as me. Presence…⭐⭐

  • Book Review: The Last Session by Julia Bartz

The Last Session by Julia Bartz

    Book Summary.

THE LAST SESSION Julia Bartz ” I fell asleep amid the flowers for a couple of hours” Daydreamin’ THE LAST SESSION stars a social worker, currently working at a facility where a patient arrives comatose. She looks familiar to her at first and when she realizes who she is it’s a surprise to her as much as it is to us. One thing leads to another and before you know it our main character has signed up for a weeklong retreat run by a cultish couple. Will she find what she is looking for or fall asleep amid the flowers?

    The Review.

The second half is all I can remember it’s all that’s in my head it completely demolished everything and had built in the first half I wish it never existed it felt like such a waste The voice was there the sentiment, although a little skewed at times, is there but unfortunately whatever magic occurred in the first half didn’t carry over into the second half. Our main character is flawed and I was rooting for her from the beginning watching from behind covered eyes begging her to please stop meanwhile encouraging the bad behavior, the bad choices, and the horrible decisions. Thanks to Netgalley, Atria Books, and Emily Bestler Books for the advanced copies! THE LAST SESSION is available now!! THE LAST SESSION…⭐⭐⭐
