To Kate and Tommy 17 Via Dionisio was their dream come true. To everyone else, it was THE HOUSE OF LAST RESORT and closer to a nightmare than a fantasy.
Kate and Tommy purchased a “Euro House” in Sicily. Euro Houses are part of Italy’s plan to invigorate their struggling economy. The hope is that if people move to these ghost towns, they will inspire business and tourism and the economy will be better for it.
When they move in, they find all is not as it was represented to them upon purchase. There is a creepy chapel inside and things that move when the lights go out. Struggling to make their new house a home they try to settle in only to be disturbed night after night.
Will their dream house be all that wanted it to be or will the secrets it holds be too much for them to live with?
The Euro House concept was interesting to read about. I saw a YouTube video years ago about the Euro Houses. I immediately wanted to know more about them but figured they were too good to be true, so I never followed up on it. Just another dream to pass me by.
But isn’t reading about it just about second best to living it?
THE HOUSE OF LAST RESORT has a great atmosphere and setting. I loved the haunted house vibes and the connection between the house and the city. I think you are going to like this one.
