Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
We finally went to see SINNERS in theatres.
I thought it was good, I thought it was great. Let me explain.
The pacing is off with a long, slow beginning. Not much happens for a while.
Paraphrased from a book I can’t remember the name of. The author describes much of the literature written by men to be similar to a man’s orgasm. With women writers writing similar to a woman’s orgasm.
Please, if you remember the name of the book, leave it in the comments!
Most writing, screenplays included, have a climax scene.
Not much happens for a long time, then everything happens in five minutes, then you return to some kind of sentimental period with even less activity happening after that.
I was already bored by the time the action started.
And about half an hour in, my husband whispers to me…
“From Dusk till Dawn”
Which was extremely accurate.
I appreciated the message. I appreciated the story and music, and moments of comic relief.
In moments, it was great. Overall, it was good.
I gave it four stars
It was worth seeing on the big screen, and it would be fantastic in a packed theatre.
